Last Thursday I went to the MIA to see, among other items, the Doryphoros of Polycleitos (actually a Roman copy from the 1st century BC) and then joined my colleagues at Christos for some of the finest Greek food in the Twin Cities.

I have one more paltry Latin composition to do, a final in Latin comp, and my paper to complete. Cetera consummata sunt!
I learn today whether I will be able to attend the Monday dinner at which one of the U’s professors will be awarded, via satellite link, the Nobel Prize in Economics. I know nothing of the field, but don’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event.
As for weather, a constant concern here in the tundra, it is COLD. I woke to temperatures of -11 degrees f. That is before the windchill.
Familia mea bona est.
