No excuse
Wow it’s been a while, I’ve been finding it difficult to study for the NAPLEX, and I’ve been out of school for four years now. Not so long where I don’t remember how and all the work it was, but long enough where the motivation is difficult to locate.
We bought my Mom a pet; it was an early Mother’s Day gift. A very cute cockatiel, Piason, a wonderful find with the help of Super K. Mother’s day was good, we barbequed at her request steaks and asparagus, good stuff.
Work is going well, I really like where I am, it is quite a commute down to National City, but my crew is absolutely wonderful. As a matter of fact we had a little going away get together at Dave and Busters, one of my clerks relocated. D&Bs is an interesting place. As far as my long commute I really don’t mind it gives me lots of time to listen to my audio books. Currently I’m listening to Wicked. I’m enjoying it so far.
I’ll be a CVS pharmacist before you know it. I am very excited about that, but I’ve worked for SAVON / OSCO for 12 and half years. As a matter of fact when I worked for OSCO in Iowa during grad school I was so loyal to OSCO my classmates teased me that I bled OSCO orange. It’ll be strange to work with a different computer system and management system. More than likely I’ll have a new boss as well.
As far as adventure in my life, well we went to the grocery store the other day and needed to buy some shampoo. I was looking at the wall of hair care and said to my husband, we should get something we’ve never used before. (Wow, now that’s excitement). So we ended up buying these huge ass bottles of Aussie shampoo and conditioner. They are so large they come with their own pumps. Now every time I’m in the shower I see those huge purple bottles and think of Tashie. What would her comment be, I’m sure she’d have quite a quip to share.
Much more exciting adventure occurred yesterday. I was off from work and Richard and I went to the Cabrillo Monument in Point Loma. I hadn’t been there since I was a little girl and Richard had never been. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We took lots of photos and had to stop for a seafood dinner. The salt air gave me such a craving for fish. Once we got home on the table was the box of glory. Amazon had arrived and team Shea began the BL marathon. We watched the first 8 episodes of Boston Legal. DENNY CRANE!
At the moment Richard is murmuring to himself in Latin as he translates Virgil’s Aeneid. He is so studious rocking back and forth in his plaid rocking chair. Yesterday was for fun and adventure; today I must do the boring things in life, laundry, dishes, pay the bills and find a CPR class. I need to get recertified soon.
take care,
