42 dipping sauces

Well we didn’t go to the Olive Garden. That was the joke all weekend. We were having dinner at the Olive Garden for my birthday. Now I’m not saying there is anything wrong with the Oliver Garden, when I was in grad school my friends knew I’m Italian and every year for my birthday they took me to the Olive Garden for dinner. We always had a good time, it’s just funny because growing up we had Italian food at home and we very rarely if ever went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. We did, however go to the Indigo Grill in little Italy. A great choice by my man I must add. We had a great time. After dinner we came home and had some dessert with my folks, lemon cake of course.

I also had a wonderful time during the day with my husband. He came home early and we had lunch together. It was pretty terrific, the company that is, the food was okay, and the dessert was fabulous but overall probably not on the repeat list. It was a Greek place in Scripps Ranch, the name I’ve seem to have blocked from memory.

My man also bought me a necklace to remind me of my Chargers and San Diego in general, especially since we’ve got about two years left.

Thursday night had a little extended birthday celebration with some close friends of ours. They brought me a bouquet of socks, way cool because I love my socks. We had some dinner at the Godfather, yes I know an Italian place, but the food was very good. If you ever have the chance a neat place to check out. The staff is dressed in tuxedos and there is usually a pianist playing in the dining room.

This week also brought some change to my life. Well at least potentially. More on that at a later date.
